~ From the Seattle to Bainbridge Island ferry ~
A parasailor along the Seattle waterfront.
~ Coast Guard escort - with machine gun! ~
I've never seen this before! Due to unrest in the world we had a Coast Guard escort from Seattle to Bainbridge Island. |
~ Whistlestop Cafe ~
We stopped and had ice cream cones and bought candy at The Whistlestop Cafe in Discovery Bay. One car has ice cream, another has many varieties of candy and another is a sandwich shop. Very colorful and kids love this place! They even have frisbees and hula hoops in the backyard area for travelers to stop and stretch their legs. |
~ The "Clam Guy" in Discovery Bay ~
I had to take a pic of this guy! He was at a little clam shop that was right next to the place where we stopped and bought some Buffalo jerky. |

~ Chief Sealth's Grave in Suquamish ~
We visited the grave of Chief Sealth (hence the name Seattle) on the Suquamish Indian reservation. |
~ Plaque ~
Chief Sealth was much respected. |

~ Epithath ~
It's hard to see... |
~ Offerings to the Chief ~
People stop and make offerings to the Chief. There are many shells, necklaces, stuffed animals and even a hot wheels car. |
~ Braeleyn LOVES the Ferry ~
The wind almost blows her off her feet, but she loves being out on the deck! |
~ Watching the Coast Guard escort ~
~ Seattle from the ferry ~
It takes about 30 minutes to get from island to mainland. |
~ The Space Needle ~
~ A very COLD ride home! ~
It was FREEZING on the way home to Seattle from Bainbridge, but Braeleyn still insisted on going outside on the deck of the "big boat". |
